Oh, shit...
Ok sorry about all this, i haven't really been posting...so i did finish genesis-but i haven't gotten around to re-reading it and posting my comments. I have been loaded with work on my exhibition, but as soon as I am able to (Evan next time i say i'm bored, or that I'm doing something other then homework, tell me to go get the book) I will re-read the last thirty chapters of genesis and get my comments up ;)

Genesis (day two)
Surprisingly, the first five chapters of today (11-15) were pretty straight forward, and i had nothing to say about them.
Chapter 16.
1-Once again, where did his wife come from?
11-Is this child like the one "call me Ishmael" from Moby Dick or something?
Chapter 17.
10-Um, so anyone that has been circumcised is a descendant of abraham? But then what if they are athiest?
Chapter 19.
5-Who would even think about raping an angel. Did they not know that they were angels sent by God?
8-Even if they are trying to rape the angels, why would you offer your daughters instead? At what point do you draw that line?
22-Wait why does this automatically mean it would be called Zoar? That seems sort of random to me. Is it like some sort of pun in hebrew, that wouldn't come across in English?
31-32-WTF? They want to get knocked up by their father? I mean, even if its to keep their lineage, that has got to be a sin...
General though about chapter 19-After Noah survived the floods, didn't God apologize? Didn't he say he would not kill man ever again?

Genesis (day one)
22-If Adam was the only original human, then are we all inbred from him?
Chapter 3.
1-Earlier it explained how God had made all of the creatures on the Earth. The Serpent was a creature, who represents Satan. So does this mean that God created the Devil?
Chapter 4.
17-Here it talks about how Cain had sex with his wife. Where did his wife come from? Unless he inbred, I thought all the people on Earth were relatives of Adam.
18-Once again, I'm confused as to where these people's wives come from.
19-Well, if I'm going to keep pointing these out, it never says where Lamech's wife came from.
Chapter 7.
2-Well, God created all these creatures. Then, he wanted to wipe them out, because he saw that they were evil. But then he decided to save the good ones. But in line two it says that Noah was to bring the unclean animals with him too. Doesn't this defeat the purpose of the flood?
Chapter 8.
1-God is supposed to be almighty. How does almighty God "forget" about Noah?
17-I was just thinking here. If Noah brought only two of each animal with him, then all animals are inbred, right?
20-I'm sort of confused here. Apparently God cooked one of each animal? If my math adds up right (and i'm a star math student) then that would leave only one. Now how would they reproduce?
Chapter 9.
6-Here it re-mentioned the fact that God created man in his own image. So, theoretically, God could be you or me. It just reminded me of the song "What if God were one of us." And yes, I know it from Austin Powers.
Chapter 10.
2-I just want to touch on the inbred aspect of the bible again. So Noah brought his sons with him, and with them, their wives. So then, who do their kids marry? Each other?
10-My understanding was that Noah and his family were the last survivors of man kind. I mean, i giant wave just completely killed everybody. How are you supposed to make "Kingdoms" with about eight people?
Introduction
I have always been a very curious person. I have been very interested in religion. I think that partially comes from my atheism. A few days ago, I started to read the Bible, which I had (I'm sorry Mr. Hotel) taken during a family trip at a hotel. A few pages into it, I believe on Genesis 14, i stopped reading. Throughout the story up to that point, i had already noticed quite a few things that sparked my interests-whether i disagreed with them, was confused by them, or they were just unrealistic (or for that matter just gross). So today, November 14th, 2008, I started over. I recreated a blog (using a newer e-mail) for this. Every time I am reading at school, or at home, or whatever, I will mark anything interesting into my notebook. I will then at the end of the day, go online and put it all on to my blog. Whether you are religious or not-I don't care. Please don't criticize me for doing this. I am simply doing this because i lack UNDERSTANDING of Religion. I do not intend to dis it or dis its followers. If, on the other hand, you would like to discuss a specific point i came up with, or add a new one, please do so.
